JOB CLUB

We are a career resource center available to assist all individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining employment.

Vocational Counselors and Employment Specialists are available for assistance Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. This is a free service to participants that are referred for services through ACCESS-VR and CBVH.

No matter the career goal - our staff works diligently to find appropriate placement. Services provided include: interest surveys, career exploration, job matching, networking, career fairs, cold contacting, resume and cover letter development, Internet employment searches, WNY Job Posting Board, Job Club, job development and stabilization.

JOB CLUB is a mandatory structured classroom environment for all referred participants. This five day class is taught by our vocational staff who utilize a proven, comprehensive curriculum to instruct participants on work ethics and principles. The following are some highlights: positive attitude, Handshake 101, Self Esteem Builders, professional etiquette, role playing and interviewing skills.

On the last day of Job Club, each participant is challenged on what they have learned that week. A "Mock Interview" seals the deal as we provide a professional critique of each participant's interview skills. Once the participant passes the class based on 100% effort in job readiness, attitude, participation, attendance, and punctuality, a Certificate of Completion Ceremony is held.

"This program has given me a chance to master my skills...I now have the confidence and the knowledge that not only will I be a great employee, but I may even manage my own employees someday in the near future"

- A Former Janitorial Trainee.
