COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES that are designed around participants' interests. OPPORTUNITIES are offered to learn and socialize while increasing the individual's independence. Day Hab Services may also be paired with our Prevocational Program for those who want it all. SERVICES are provided Monday through Friday. Transportation is available for those unable to access public transportation between the hours of 7:00 and 8:00 AM and 2:30 and 3:30 PM. Weekly activity schedules are provided in advance so that people will know if money is needed for activities or lunch. Participants will be able to buy lunch in our cafeteria or may bring their own. Participants choose their activities based on interests. The services are based on the premise that people learn the most when they are doing things they like to do. Therefore, volunteer opportunities and other activities correspond to the interests of the individual. If a person has a desire to do a certain activity, every attempt will be made to develop opportunities in that area of interest. They will also be encouraged to try different activities in order to make informed choices. For the undecided, a broad range of activities allows participants to determine areas of interest. Throughout these activities, life skills are taught such as socialization, basic education, including arithmetic and reading, problem solving, and money management. Weekly Feelings groups focus assistance in desired areas. Activities include, but are not limited to,
