(A CO-LOCATED DAY TREATMENT) Services are offered in a structured classroom setting for ninety minutes a day. Participants have the opportunity for clinical services as needed and educational and socialization opportunities. Through practical and structured learning life skills are taught. When people are referred to Skills they receive an assessment which reveals the areas of need. Within a six-week period a meeting is held with the participant and a network of his/her family, friends and professionals to establish a goal plan. Clinical services are available if the participant needs or requests them. LIFE SKILLS are taught, along with social skills, basic education, including arithmetic and reading, problem solving, money management and cooking. Weekly Speech and Feeling Management groups focus assistance in desired areas. Services are provided Monday through Friday at either 8:30 to 10:00 or 10:15 to 11:45 AM. Participants may be eligible to spend the remainder of their day earning money in our production department. Transportation is available for those unable to access public transportation between the hours of7:00 and 8:00 AM and 2:30 and 3:30 PM. Participants may buy lunch in our cafeteria or bring their own.
